Chris Jericho has seemingly commented on the ongoing situation between MJF and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in a new post on Twitter.
This follows MJF’s appearance on Wednesday night’s Dynamite where he cut one of the most memorable promos of all time, blurring the lines between work and shoot, calling out Tony Khan, calling him a “f**king mark”, and asking to be fired.
It’s well known, and MJF made it pretty clear, that his issues with Khan have largely revolved around pay, which is exactly what Jericho tweeted about. He wrote:
For the record @AEW is the best sports entertainment company I’ve ever worked for & @TonyKhan is the best boss I’ve done business with. If certain talents feel they’re under compensated, maybe ur not as good as u think u are. Go elsewhere PLEASE. You’ll be begging to come back!
Of course he made sure to stay in character by calling it “sports entertainment”, but you get the point.
UPDATE: As you can see below, it turns out the official AEW Twitter account actually retweeted Jericho’s tweet:
AEW removed MJF from its online roster page and merch store yesterday, and has shared no clips or footage of his promo from Dynamite. There weren’t even any photos from his promo sent out to press in the usual press photos package this week.
