Chris Jericho has teased a run with the ROH World Title, following Tony Khan’s announcement that he has acquired ROH.
Following Khan’s revelation that he’s now the new owner of ROH, a Twitter user asked Jericho if there’s a chance that he’ll challenge for the promotion’s top title in the future.
Believing he has all the power, Jericho replied:
“More than a chance…if I decide I want it. @AEW”
Jericho was notably the first AEW World Champion, winning the gold at All Out 2019, and dropping the title to Jon Moxley at Revolution 2020.
There are technically two ROH World Champions currently, with Bandido defending his gold, and Jonathan Gresham defending the ROH Original World Title he won at Final Battle 2021, when Bandido was unable to compete. As of writing, the two champions will face off in a ‘Winner Takes All’ match at Supercard of Honor in April.
A new report has revealed Tony Khan’s plans for ROH following his acquisition, which you can read about right here.
