CM Punk Appears On AEW Dynamite To Set Up Match For Collision AEW

UPDATE – More matches and segments for this Saturday’s AEW Collision have now been revealed, find out the lineup at this link.

CM Punk appeared on tonight’s AEW Dynamite in front of the Chicago live crowd, setting up a match for AEW Collision.

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite (June 21), CM Punk returned to make a big save and make his first comments on the microphone on the Wednesday staple since before AEW All Out.

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite kicked off with a tag team match with Jeff and Matt Hardy against the Gunns.

With the Ass Boys taking on the legendary Hardys, in the end it would be the Gunns who would emerge victorious after interference from Bullet Club Gold.

As Jeff Hardy was climbing to the top rope to go for the Swanton Bomb, Bullet Club Gold appeared and while Juice Robinson distracted the referee, Jay White pushed Jeff Hardy off the ropes, setting the stage for the Gunns to capitalize.

After the match, when Bullet Club Gold was attacking the Hardys, Ricky Starks ran out in attempt to even the odds, then FTR, and finally CM Punk much to the delight of the Chicago crowd.

After the brawl, CM Punk said “I’m a Collision guy, I’m not even supposed to be here,” after challenging the four men to a battle on Saturday on AEW Collision.

It seems we’re headed for another Bullet Club Gold showdown for CM Punk and FTR on this week’s Collision, this time with BCG teaming with the Gunns while CMFTR has recruited Ricky Starks.

Punk’s opponent for Forbidden Door was also revealed tonight – click here to find out who he’ll be facing on Sunday.
