Hangman Page’s backstage drama with CM Punk was referenced during this week’s (August 22) edition of Being The Elite.
Recent reports have indicated that CM Punk calling out Hangman Page on the August 17 edition of Dynamite was completely ‘off script’, with there being backstage heat between Punk and Page following their Double or Nothing feud.
Per Dave Meltzer, there’s currently a ton of backstage drama involving some major AEW names.
The latest edition of Being The Elite poked fun at these reports in a segment featuring Hangman Page and the Dark Order. While Page was giving the stable a passionate pep talk, a knock at the door informed Page that Punk was in the ring. Before ‘Jeff’ could say anymore, Page had dismissed him, telling him to ‘shut the f**k up’ and not to interrupt their important meeting.
The episode also featured Kenny Omega, who returned to action on Dynamite, teaming with the Young Bucks to defeat Andrade El Idolo, RUSH and Dragon Lee in the AEW Trios Tag Team Championship tournament.
