More Details On CM Punk Backstage At IMPACT Taping AEW

There has been another interesting story revealed about CM Punk’s backstage visit to the IMPACT taping, including wife jokes!

On Busted Open Radio, Mickie James shared a humorous story about her husband Nick Aldis bumping into CM Punk backstage at the IMPACT Wrestling taping over the weekend.

While Mickie wasn’t present at the taping, she reported:

“I heard Punk was there too, and he asked Nick, ‘Where’s the missus?'”

“And then [Nick] was like, ‘Oh, she’s at home.’ And [Punk] goes, ‘Yeah, you and me — the only people that people get more excited about seeing our wives more than us.'”

CM Punk’s wife is of course former WWE Divas Champion and fan favorite, AJ Mendez formerly known as AJ Lee in WWE.

Elsewhere from backstage at the IMPACT taping, one star that was pictured with Punk noted that she didn’t really hang out with him at all.

To read more about that and find out why it took her a half an hour just to get the chance to be snapped in the now notable photo with him by clicking right here.

Nick Aldis for his part has recently returned to IMPACT Wrestling whereas CM Punk’s future plans remain officially unconfirmed.

The intense speculation is that Punk is on the cusp of returning to AEW, possibly as early as next month as AEW plans to launch a Saturday evening television show on June 17. You can read more about that by clicking here.

Elsewhere on Busted Open Radio, another former WWE star opened up about having departed the company. Find out the real reason Trinity walked out of WWE last year in a powerful new interview.
