Despite being absent from last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite from his native Chicago, the ‘Real’ World Champion CM Punk had a busy night of his own, being honored with the Iron Mike Mazurki Award at the Cauliflower Alley Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Cauliflower Alley Club states that the Iron Mike Mazurki Award is bestowed to individuals who have made “exceptional contributions to professional wrestling and have exhibited outstanding dedication to the sport both inside and outside the ring.”

Along with Punk, other notable award recipients on the night were Ron Simmons, Mickie James, The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) and Koko B Ware.

The award recipients were not the only wrestling legends in attendance however, as names such as John Bradshaw Layfield and AEW star Serena Deeb presented awards on the night to Ron Simmons and Mickie James.

Also notable for their attendance was current WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio who presented the Lucha Libre Award to Damian 666, the godfather of his son, current NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.

Taking to Instagram Punk uploaded numerous pictures of himself alongside the likes of Rey, Damian 666, Mickie James, Koko B Ware and Bob Orton Sr who was also in attendance, labelling them all as ‘legends’ in separate posts.
