CM Punk’s Replacement For AEW All Out 2023 Confirmed

CM Punk’s Replacement For AEW All Out 2023 Confirmed AEW

Following the news that he’s been fired from AEW, CM Punk’s replacement at tomorrow night’s All Out pay-per-view has been confirmed.

The planned main event for All Out in Chicago was CM Punk vs Ricky Starks in a strap match.

There was a segment set up on tonight’s AEW Collision that would have led to that, with Starks challenging Ricky Steamboat to a strap match.

Obviously that match was never likely to happen and Punk would have interrupted and set up a match between him and Starks instead.

That’s pretty much what played out, except it wasn’t Punk, but someone else rather surprising.

At All Out, Ricky Starks will be in a strap match against… Bryan Danielson.

This comes a bit out of nowhere as Danielson was expected to be out for at least another month following his arm injury at Forbidden Door.

Also newly announced for All Out is a pre-show battle royal which is being dubbed the “Over Budget Charity Battle Royal” where the “winner gives $50k to the charity of their choice”.

Another pre-show match is a women’s trios match with Athena, Mercedes Martinez and Diamante with Billie Starkz in their corner against Hikaru Shida, Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue.

And then there’s another pre-show match, which is for the AEW World Trios Championship, as the Acclaimed and Billy Gunn with Dennis Rodman in their corner defend against Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh with Sonjay Dutt and Karen Jarrett in theirs.

The main card remains the same as previously announced other than the addition of Starks vs Danielson.
