There has been a new update on currently injured Monday Night Raw star CM Punk during his absence from WWE TV.
Despite his triceps tear injury keeping him out of the ring, CM Punk is certainly not letting that stop him from being in the WWE mix completely.
Fresh off the news that Punk will be making a televised return to WWE at the March 25 episode of Raw in Chicago, IL, the Best in the World has been pictured at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL watching on during this week’s NXT (March 12).
Pro Wrestling & MMA News on Twitter shared the photograph (see below) of Punk at NXT, with the former AEW Champion tucked away behind WWE staff and equipment watching the action unfold.
This is far from Punk’s first time attending NXT since returning to the company at Survivor Series 2023.
Not only did he show up on camera at NXT Deadline on December 9, but it was also reported that Punk was backstage at the December 12 edition of NXT, offering help and advice to talent which asked.
WWE also released a video of him training with the likes of Trick Williams, Bron Breakker & Carmelo Hayes ahead of the 2024 Royal Rumble.
Although it was said to be a long way off, Punk’s continued presence in NXT seems to add further credence to a report from Ibou of WrestlePurists, which stated that Punk’s long-term goal in WWE was to succeed Shawn Michaels in running NXT as a whole.
