WWE Star Says He & CM Punk Have ‘No Relationship’ WWE

WWE star and former Universal Champion Kevin Owens says he and former AEW star CM Punk “have no relationship.”

At WWE Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk made his long awaited return to the company for the first time in nine years in front of his hometown of Chicago. Upon his return to WWE, most fans wondered which stars of the promotion would not be pleased with his presence in the company.

One competitor Punk has history with is Kevin Owens, who famously told the “t-shirt incident” story where “The Second City Saint” was critical of KO wrestling in a t-shirt.

Also, Owens is close, personal friends with AEW EVPs, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks, who don’t have a particularly good history with Punk from their time together in AEW.

Speaking to Gorilla Position, Kevin Owens was asked about his relationship with CM Punk. He answered:

“We have no relationship. We’re not each other’s type of people, I don’t think.”

“There’s like a ten foot vicinity that if we enter in, we have to kind of, ‘Hey,’ ‘Hey.’ Otherwise, we just don’t, and that’s fine. It’s perfectly fine the way it is,”

On many people saying that Punk has changed, Owens said:

“I don’t know that, and I don’t care, to be honest. He is who he is. I am who I am. It’s fine that way.”

CM Punk and Kevin Owens had a brief on-screen interaction following Punk’s return at Survivor Series. Both men will appear at WrestleMania 40 as Owens will face Logan Paul and Randy Orton for the United States Championship, while Punk will be on commentary for the Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre match.
