The distance between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns may actually be much shorter than fans ever previously imagined.
According to WWE’s own website, Cody Rhodes will be appearing on the May 6 edition of SmackDown at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
WrestleMania Backlash is set to take place two nights later on May 8 where Cody Rhodes will be taking on Seth Rollins, also scheduled to appear on the May 6 SmackDown, in a re-match of their WrestleMania match.
Also advertised to appear on the show are Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.
Of course as ever with WWE, the card is subject to change which is fully acknowledged on the graphic from WWE advertising Cody’s appearance reading, “talent subject to change.”
Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 against Seth Rollins and won the match via pinfall. Cody’s first match on Raw was on this past week’s episode of Raw where he took on The Miz and also picked up a win.
