Cody Rhodes has called for a familiar AEW star to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, noting his lengthy history in the company.
Cody called for his brother Dustin Rhodes to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame despite currently being signed with AEW.
Dustin Rhodes is a name that has been brought up before as a potential WWE Hall of Famer, with The Undertaker making the case for his induction.
During a recent interview with Fox News, the Undisputed WWE Champion laid out his case for Dustin Rhodes being inducted, saying:
“And I’ve oftentimes said my brother. I feel like he had more of an important role in the Attitude Era and moving forward. And I think he’s extremely talented.
“I think I’d like to see that not just because I believe he deserves it, which he does, but I’d love to see the family just more added.
“The Hall of Fame doesn’t mean the same to everybody if that makes any sense. To my family, the Hall of Fame is the thing – the title and then the Hall of Fame.”
In a career that started in 1988, Dustin Rhodes competed in WCW, WWE and TNA Wrestling among other places, before signing with AEW in 2019.
He has recently revealed that he has signed a new multi-year contract with AEW and is likely to finish his wrestling career with the company.
Along with being one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, he is also a World Six-Man Tag Team Champoin with Marshall Von Erich and Ross Von Erich.
His WWE career has seen him hold the World Tag Team Championship (with Booker T), along with being a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion (with Stardust), a three-time Intercontinental Champion and seven-time Hardcore Champion.
