Cody Rhodes returned at WrestleMania 38. It was a pretty small segment you probably didn’t even notice.
However, it did genuinely happen, and not only that, but he has also appeared on the Superstar Axxess panel, where he spoke at length about his time in AEW, and his plans now he’s in WWE.
One of his most interesting quotes was regarding his decision to not win the AEW Championship. Rhodes famously lost the right to ever challenge for the belt when he lost to Chris Jericho at Full Gear 2019.
According to Rob Schamberger who was live tweeting the interview, Cody said he regrets his decision to not win the top title in AEW, and that now he’s in WWE, he’s ready to go for Roman Reigns and his now unified belts.
Says not being AEW World Champion was a mistake. Now has his eyes on Roman and the WWE Championship.

Rhodes is set to appear on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, where he could very well be starting his first proper feud now he’s returned to WWE. There has been no news on who he is planning to feud with, but if we hear anything, you’ll be the first to know.
