AEW star Cody Rhodes has recently praised another competitor on Twitter, confirming who he’s rooting for in the upcoming Blood and Guts match.
Cody Rhodes was originally set to compete in the first AEW Blood and Guts match before the pandemic delayed the event. Not involved in the May 5 match, Rhodes has picked which side he is supporting.
On Twitter, Santana discussed his mindset surrounding competition. Rhodes shared the tweet, praising the Inner Circle member’s words. Jokingly briefly forgetting the name of the upcoming stipulation, Rhodes stated that he is supporting Santana in Blood and Guts.
Here is the tweet:
Amen 🙏
You can’t wish away good talent either. The best just get on their level.
I’m rooting for this man in the warg…I mean blood/guts! https://t.co/yAoHPPRZsG

This is ironic, as the original Blood and Guts match was meant to be contested between The Elite and The Inner Circle. When asked if he’s going to turn on his fans, Cody tweeted:
Literally almost no chance my friend. After a decade of honing my skills at this, and the last 3 – 4 years of such a strong and growing connection with my fans…I’d be a fool to throw it away and swim upstream.

From what we know, the Blood and Guts stipulation is essentially AEW’s version of a WarGames match.
On the topic of The Elite, Kenny Omega will be in action tomorrow night on AEW Dark: Elevation. You can read the announced matches here.
The Young Bucks continue to entertain fans with their ever-changing Twitter bio. Recently Matt and Nick Jackson used their Twitter profile to tease their retirement.
