What Happened When Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns Came Face-To-Face Before WrestleMania WWE

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes came face-to-face on tonight’s WWE SmackDown ahead of their WrestleMania 40 showdown.

The pair faced off in an in-ring segment as the ‘Road to WrestleMania’ continues, merely 15 days away in Philadelphia.

Roman Reigns started the exchange by telling Cody that he found him to be dumb. Sharing that Rhodes used his heart way too much, he questioned whether or not Cody could trust Seth Rollins.

Cody acknowledged that possibly Seth Rollins did hate him, but he was confident that Rollins hated Reigns more.

Rhodes turned the tables, asking Roman if he could actually trust The Rock, wondering aloud in the pantheon of the Bloodline who was more powerful, the Tribal Chief or the Final Boss.

Roman Reigns however was unamused, telling Rhodes that all he had was empty promises to the fans but nothing ever comes to fruition because Cody “is number two”.

Saying he means it with respect, “this is the greatest number two of all time,” but that second is all Cody Rhodes could ever hope for because Roman Reigns was going to be “number one, forever”.

Cody retorted that when is comes to WrestleMania, he was ‘the one’.

After extending his hand to Reigns to shake, Roman denied him and exited the ring without incident, but once he left, he snapped his fingers.

As Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso made their way through the crowd to surround the ringside area, the show continued as Rhodes stood his ground.

Also emerging from the crowd in hoodies, Jey Uso and Seth Rollins popped up to back up Cody as the two trios stood off to end the episode.
