WWE has once again hinted that Cody Rhodes will return soon, with the popular star now featured on WWE WrestleMania 39 advertising.
Photos have now been doing the rounds of a production truck with new art featuring the former AEW EVP.
Rhodes has been out of action since June 2022, recovering from surgery to fix his pectoral muscle which he tore during training.
He last wrestled at the June 5 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, facing Seth Rollins in the main event while injured.
Rhodes was written off WWE TV the next night on Raw after Rollins attacked him.
He recently made his return to TV, appearing on thr December 26 edition of Raw via video call.
During the segment, Rhodes indicated that he doesn’t plan to reignite his rivalry with Rollins when he returns to action, noting:
“Make no mistake about it. Seth and I are not chummy, we’re not best friends. But Seth Rollins is one of the top three wrestlers in the entire world.
“Three matches, not just one but three matches was an honor. Again, we’re not best friends. We don’t exchange Christmas cards, but there’s a bond by battle there with Seth and myself.
“I know he’s probably clamoring for a fourth match, (but) I don’t know if that’s on my radar.”
The surprising original plans for Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 have now been revealed.
