Cody Rhodes Makes WWE Return At WrestleMania 38

Cody Rhodes Makes WWE Return At WrestleMania 38 AEW

The months of relentless speculation are officially over, as Cody Rhodes officially made his WWE return on tonight’s (April 2) WrestleMania Saturday show.

Rhodes was revealed as Vince McMahon’s chosen opponent for Seth Rollins on WrestleMania Saturday, going on to put on an intense match that saw Rhodes come out on top, landing three Cross Rhodes on Rollins to pick up the hard-fought pinfall victory.

Cody Rhodes departed All Elite Wrestling, leaving his role as both performer and EVP to return to WWE after failing to come to terms on a contractual agreement to continue with the company he had been with since its inception.

After his WrestleMania match, Cody’s PR team confirmed that he has signed a multi-year WWE deal and will serve as executive producer for the Dusty Rhodes documentary on A&E.

In advance of his secretive re-debut, Cody spoke to Variety and shared details on an eye-raising conversation he had with Vince McMahon prior to his return and shared likely all he will share about his departure from AEW.
