Downstait have shared a new clue after teasing an announcement related to WWE star Cody Rhodes’ entrance theme.
The band notably created Cody Rhodes’ “Kingdom” walkout music, which Rhodes first used in 2016 following his WWE exit.
Rhodes brought this music with him when returning to WWE in April 2022, with the song going on to become a fan-favourite WWE entrance theme.
Downstait first shared a cryptic tease regarding their Kingdom song at the beginning of the month, teasing an announcement for April 5, the day before WrestleMania 40.
The band has now taken to Twitter with another video tease, and have replied to fans with some interesting comments.
One user predicted that their announcement will either be a remix, music video or live performance announcement. Downstait have interestingly confirmed that this user is at least partially correct, sharing a GIF noting:
“One of these is right.”
This has fuelled speculation that Downstait will perform Cody Rhodes’ entrance theme live at WrestleMania 40.
The American Nightmare is slated to compete in two huge matches at the April 6-7 show.
He will challenge for Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship for the second time, after winning the 2024 Royal Rumble match.
Before that, Rhodes will team with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to face off against Roman Reigns and The Rock.
A new title match was announced for WrestleMania 40 on Friday’s edition of SmackDown, which you can read more about right here.
