WWE confirmed last night during Payback that they will next be on pay-per-view next month with Clash of Champions. However, there is some confusion about when the show will be taking place.
During the show last night, a graphic popped up stating that Clash of Champions will be taking place on September 20th. However, in the very next segment, Michael Cole said the show was set for September 27th.
Of course, this is likely just a mistake. it is more likely that the show is taking place on Sunday 27th, as Michael Cole said that Clash of Champions would be taking place four weeks from yesterday, and those dates match up.
The whole gimmick of Clash of Champions is that every championship within WWE is defended, so expect eight title matches at next month’s show, possibly even nine if WWE counts the 24/7 Championship.
However, there is one champion that may be forced to miss the show, as WWE confirmed last night that he suffered a fractured jaw. You can find out who and read more about that story by clicking here.
