Current MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Kane says former WWE star Shelton Benjamin is their dream match.

On December 21, Shelton Benjamin became a free agent following the end of his 90-day non-compete clause after his WWE release in September of last year.

While the likes of Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler and Matt Riddle have let their next moves known, Benjamin remains a mystery in regards where he will show up next.

Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Kane was asked about a potential match with Shelton Benjamin. He answered:

“Look, Shelton Benjamin, you are the GOAT to me. You are the GOAT, period.”

“I tell everybody all the time, anybody ask me, what is my dream match? Shelton Benjamin, you are my dream match. I’ll put [slaps title] big gold on the line, baby,”

Another WWE free agent who has been making their presence known is AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla of Hit Row. When asked about a potential showdown with Francis, Kane said:

“Me and AJ Francis, we’re boys. I like him. He’s cool.”

“I feel a feud, a match, a story with him would make me step my game up in so many ways. So yeah, you can get this work too.”

Alex Kane is set to defend the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against Satoshi Kojima at MLW Superfight.
