
Former WWE star David Otunga is now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Otunga made his MCU debut on the September 8 edition of she She-Hulk series. During the episode, ‘Is This Not Real Magic?’, Jennifer Walters goes on a series of dates, one of which was with the former WWE Tag Team Champion.
During the date, Otunga’s unnamed character shows interest in She-Hulk’s ability to lift weights.
Otunga made an appearance during the trailer for the show, so fans were expecting to see the former WWE star show up in the Disney Plus series.
Signing with WWE’s FCW division in 2008, Otunga debuted on the main roster as part of the Nexus faction in 2010. He won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice during his in-ring tenure, before transitioning into a non-wrestling roles in 2015. He most recently appeared for WWE in 2020 at WrestleMania 36.
This was not Otunga’s first acting gig, the former champion has made a number of TV appearances, in addition to film roles in ‘The Call’ and ‘A Madea Family Funeral’.
