It has been reported that a major championship match set for tonight’s IMPACT Against All Odds show was pre-taped.
During tonight’s show, Kenny Omega will defend the IMPACT World Title against Moose. It has now been reported that this contest was recorded over a week ago.
As per Fightful Select (subscription required), the taping happened last weekend, around the same time that AEW Dynamite was being taped. The action went down in Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The report noted that a portion of the IMPACT locker room didn’t know when the match was filmed.
PWInsider is reporting that AEW’s Tony Schiavone will join Don Callis and Scott D’Amore to call the match. Josh Matthews and D’Lo Brown will commentate for the rest of the event.
This match will be Omega’s first defence of the gold since defeating Rich Swann at Rebellion earlier this year.
IMPACT will welcome fans back for Slammiversary in July. Initial tickets for the event sold out within minutes when they were finally released.
Kenny Omega most recently defended his AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing against Orange Cassidy and PAC. Cassidy returns to action next week on AEW Dark: Elevation.
