Details On Firefly Inferno Match From WWE TLC

Last night, the TLC pay-per-view event was main event by the Firefly Inferno match between Raw stars The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton, with the latter picking up the win after setting The Fiend on fire.

During last night’s show, WrestleVotes provided some additional details on the match, including when it was filmed, and noted that the match wasn’t originally set to main event the show.

The Inferno Match was pre-taped this afternoon and as of the first rundown, wasn’t scheduled to be the main event. Interesting move.

Some fans were initially confused as to why WWE didn’t main event with the Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens TLC match, but it would be hard to go from Bray Wyatt being set on fire and kayfabe murdered to another match, so this was probably the right call.

The angle and match have been met with mixed reviews online. While some hated it and thought it was overly goofy, others really enjoyed the visual of seeing The Fiend on fire and thought it added to his character somewhat.

It will be interesting to see how WWE follows up on this angle from last night on Raw tonight, so make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for live coverage of tonight’s show.
