A WWE star has discussed The Judgment Day’s bond ahead of Payback.
At WWE Payback, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a Steel City Street Fight.
This will be quite the matchup considering the recent issues between Balor and Priest over the past couple of months due to Finn’s relationship with JD McDonagh.
To add extra intrigue to this title bout and finally end the dissension in their group, Rhea Ripley has said if Priest and Balor don’t walk out of the show with gold, there will have to be changes to The Judgment Day.
On the recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, Dominik Mysterio was asked about the prospects of McDonagh joining their group. He answered:
“JD’s a friend of Finn’s, a longtime friend. He’s definitely not associated with The Judgment Day. We’re a tight core four.”
When asked if McDonagh can gain entry into the stable, Mysterio replied:
“Mami [Rhea Ripley] is the one calling the shots right now. We saw a little bit of tension with Damian and Finn but it’s all cool.”
Believing that The Judgment Day is a family with a much stronger bond than Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, “Dirty Dom” said:
“Our bond is so much stronger [than Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s] … there has been little tensions here and there, but it’s because the boys were both focused on the same goal, and that’s becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.”
“And they got lost in the gold. But at the end of the day, they realize they’re brothers, and they need to make that work.”
The Judgment Day will also be in action at WWE Payback when Rhea Ripley defends the WWE Women’s World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez this Saturday.
