WWE Hall of Famers Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) and D-Von Dudley will be reunited at an upcoming independent event.
Battleground Wrestling has announced that Bully Ray will face off against Matt Cardona at the ‘A Tribute To The Extreme’ event on December 17. D-Von will be in Bully Ray’s corner for the match.
D-Von Dudley hasn’t wrestled since 2016. The Dudley Boyz were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2018. They last worked together at a House Of Glory event in 2019.
D-Von notably works for WWE as an NXT backstage producer. Several backstage names have made independent appearances while with WWE in the past, including Jeff Jarrett, who was the WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events when he wrestled during the Ric Flair’s Last Match event.
Jarrett, who has since left the company, was able to make this appearance because he didn’t have a talent contract with the company.
D-Von recently shared his thoughts on WWE under the Triple H regime, following Vince McMahon’s departure, which you can read about right here.
