AEW star Dustin Rhodes has now shared a message for his brother Cody Rhodes, following the WWE star’s controversial segment on SmackDown.
With Cody Rhodes stating on numerous occasions that he intended to win the WWE Championship to honor his late father Dusty Rhodes, many expected the Royal Rumble winner to select WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns as his opponent for WrestleMania 40.
This is why fans were shocked by Cody’s announcement on Friday’s (February 2) SmackDown episode, with the American Nightmare stating that he won’t be challenging for Reigns’ gold in April.
Cody left the ring shortly after to allow The Rock to have a confrontation with Roman Reigns, indicating that WWE plans for this match to headline WrestleMania 40.
This has led to a lot of backlash from fans online, with many people arguing that Cody Rhodes deserved the main event.
Dustin Rhodes has now addressed the situation, sharing a message for his brother on Twitter.
Dustin wrote:
I love you @CodyRhodes. You are a light for all of us!! #KeepSteppin
