A top star for IMPACT Wrestling, Eddie Edwards, has officially re-signed with the company after undergoing a character change.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Eddie Edwards revealed that he recently re-signed with IMPACT. The terms of his new deal were not disclosed though.
In regards to his re-signing with the promotion, Eddie said:
“I’ve been here for almost eight years, and I’ve done a lot. And there is still a lot more for me to prove.”
Edwards turned heel by betraying IMPACT Wrestling at the No Surrender event and revealed himself as the leader for the Honor No More stable in a masterful promo the following week.
The Honor No More group consists of former ROH stars who arrived at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view and have been causing havoc in IMPACT.
Speaking about his new on-screen role, Eddie stated:
“Originally, I had planned to do more tagging with Sami Callihan, but he got hurt so that changed what I was doing. It was time for a change, and this is my opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. So let’s see what we can do. When ROH changed [its structure, announcing that all talent would be released from their contracts], I wanted every one of them to come to Impact. This group is really, really talented. They’re going to show why it was a mistake to let them slip away.”
Eddie Edwards will be in action on this Thursday’s edition of IMPACT on AXS TV against Rich Swann.
