Eddie Kingston Discusses His Rise To The Top Of AEW AEW

AEW Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston has discussed his rise to the top of All Elite Wrestling since his debut in 2020.

At AEW Worlds End, Eddie Kingston defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW Continental Classic tournament and the Continental Crown Championship. The Continental Crown consists of the ROH World Championship, NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship and the AEW Continental Championship.

This marked the biggest win of Kingston’s career and stint in All Elite Wrestling that started when he debuted for the promotion at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville back in 2020.

Speaking with First Coast Living, Eddie Kingston revealed that he will have a match when AEW returns to Daily’s Place for the January 10 edition of AEW Dynamite, but the bout will take place on AEW Rampage.

When asked when his match will take place, Kingston replied:

“It’s going to be on Rampage,”

When asked about his rise to the top of All Elite Wrestling, Eddie answered:

“I just fought people and beat everybody up. It’s just simple. I do my job and that’s it. I connect with the people. For some reason, people like me, and that’s how it happens.”

Eddie Kingston made his first successful defense of the AEW Continental Crown Championship with a win over Trent Beretta on the January 6 episode of AEW Collision.

Announced for tonight’s AEW Dynamite Homecoming, Sting and Darby Allin will face The Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs in a Tornado Tag and Hangman Adam Page will go one-on-one with Claudio Castagnoli.
