Edge, who challenges Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank, has teased another huge match for WrestleMania.
Edge has already had some massive matches since his 2020 return, and he’ll be having some more in the next couple of months, but he seems to have even bigger plans for the biggest event in pro-wrestling.
Speaking on the Kurt Angle show, Edge discussed rumors about John Cena possibly returning to WWE soon, and said:
“The only thing with John and I; we never wrestled a one-on-one at WrestleMania. Which is crazy, right? We did (work a lot together). We worked everything else, but (WrestleMania)!
“I mean, the scent is in the air; you never know. It could happen one day!”
If reports are accurate, Edge is scheduled to go on to face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, while Cena will be facing Edge’s Money in the Bank opponent Roman Reigns.
Many years after their historic rivalry, is that a match you want to see at WrestleMania in 2022?
