Often one of the saddest things that came with Edge being forced to retire from wrestling in 2011 was that we wouldn’t get to see him wrestle some of the best wrestlers on the planet who slowly began moving to WWE in the early to mid-2010s.
Now that he’s back and looking at a WrestleMania main event in April, Edge has revealed who he would like to face now that he’s fit again in an interview with CBS Sports.
He mentioned names like Cesaro, AJ Styles and Seth Rollins, but his biggest desire is to have an ironman match with Daniel Bryan.
“I’ve never laid hands on so many of these guys. I scratched the surface with AJ Styles and Seth Rollins just because of Rumbles. To me, both of those matches have to happen.
Let me get in with Cesaro. I’d love to do an Ironman with Daniel Bryan. There’s just so much talent I would love to get in with.”
Obviously we don’t want to tempt fate given how injury-hit his career has been, but now that he’s back in the ring, there are so many amazing possibilities for Edge, who has worked so hard to get this second spell in WWE.
He is set to appear on tonight’s (February 3) episode of NXT, where he is expected to confront NXT Champion Finn Balor.
