The WWE return date for Edge, who has been off TV for about a month-and-a-half, was confirmed on today’s June 30 SmackDown.
The last time we saw Edge was on May 12 when he was part of a three-way match with Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, which Styles won.
That’s actually the only appearance he’s made since beating Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania in early April.
Well, we don’t have to wait much longer to see the 11-time world champion back on our screens.
On tonight’s SmackDown in London, it was confirmed that next week’s July 7 SmackDown at Madison Square Garden will play host to the Grayson Waller Effect with special guest, Edge.
Also confirmed for next week’s SmackDown is a United States Championship match with Austin Theory defending against Sheamus.
Theory beat Ridge Holland in a match on SmackDown today, then attacked Holland after the match, which is what prompted Sheamus to make the save and set up next week.
Also confirmed for the MSG show is AJ Styles vs Karrion Kross.
