Ex-WWE Star Banned From Being Mentioned On WWE TV

WWE Hall of Famer Edge made a rare reference to former WWE star Sable during his promo on last night’s (July 7) episode of SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.

Edge spoke about the start of his career being in Madison Square Garden, and him debuting as the mystery tag team partner for Sable at SummerSlam 1998.

The reference to Sable came as a surprise, as Sable has not been mentioned on WWE television in many years, not has she been brought back in for any reunion shows or old school Raw shows.

Well that seems to have not been a mistake, as WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson mentioned in a virtual signing that has resurfaced on Twitter following Edge’s promo, claiming that the company told her not to mention Sable’s name.

She said:

“You’re not even allowed to mention her name. I mentioned her name in my Hall of Fame speech and right before they told me, ‘Oh by the way, you’re not allowed to mention her name.'”
