EXCLUSIVE: WWE Star Bayley Sends Special Message To Mercedes Mone WWE/WrestleTalk

In an exclusive interview with WrestleTalk today, WWE star Bayley sent a special message to her former tag team partner Mercedes Mone.

While Mone was in WWE as Sasha Banks, she and Bayley were joined at the hip for a large part of their careers, be it as partners winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship together twice, or as opponents.

Speaking of them being opponents, WrestleTalk’s Luke Owen took the opportunity to tell Bayley that the match between her and Mone/Banks at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015 is his favorite WWE match of all time, which led to Bayley sharing a little message for the current NJPW star.

When asked if she’d spoken to Mone/Banks recently, Bayley replied:

“Yeah, just today. Well, yesterday I guess, I don’t know what time it is back there.

“Just wanna say (to Mone/Banks) – Hi, thank you for cheering for me, and we’ll celebrate when I get home.”

Speaking of cheering, Bayley was asked how she feels about the positive reactions she gets from fans here in the UK, specifically the famous “Hey Bayley” chants. She said:

“This goes back to 2015, right? I felt so loved. That’s what I fell in love with wrestling for, that energy and the fan interaction and the fact that we just give to each other – the performers, the fans, we just give to each other.

“And that was a crazy feeling, and the fact that it still carries on eight years later… they tried to adopt that in the states and it just isn’t the same.

“I feel appreciated, I appreciate that guys, thank you, but let’s keep it to a minimum when I’m trying to focus. Like, do you guys want me to win or not?”
