Last night on Smackdown, The Revival challenged New Day to a Smackdown Tag Team Championship match at next month’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view event. They later defeated Heavy Machinery in a tag team match.
However, that was not the only match the former Raw Tag Team Champions had that night. The duo teamed with Randy Orton to take on Roman Reigns, Kofi Kingston and Big E in a six-man tag team dark match after Smackdown Live went off the air.
Roman Reigns tossed pancakes into the crowd with Big E and Kingston after picking up the win for his team. However, that is not the most noteworthy thing to come from the match.
Per WrestlingInc. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson were both spat at my an angry fan before the match got underway. According to the site, the fan did not take too kindly to being taunted by The Revival:
“Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were taunting a fan at ringside before the match got started, when Wilder flicked the sweat from his head at the man, and the man responded by spitting on both Dawson and Wilder. We’re not sure if the spit hit The Revival or what happened because of that, but the match started as usual.”
It is not believed that the fan was removed from ringside and kicked out of the arena. This comes after a fan tried to jump over the barrier during Monday’s Raw TV taping.
