On tonight’s February 2 episode of WWE SmackDown, the first officially confirmed match for WrestleMania 40 was revealed.
As Royal Rumble winner Bayley was getting to the in-ring announcement of which champion she was choosing to face at WrestleMania, she turned to Damage CTRL and told them that she knows they talk negatively about her constantly behind her back.
Getting emotional, Bayley tried to ask IYO SKY why she turned on her but before she got any answer, the Kabuki Warriors attacked her from behind.
However while down in the corner, Bayley pulled a steel pipe from under the ring and battled back.
But when it came to a face-to-face with IYO, Bayley let her go but in the end called her shot for WrestleMania 40.
Bayley told IYO SKY that she would see her at WrestleMania 40 as she officially selected to challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Elsewhere, backstage footage was shown of WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, who was watching on to see if Bayley would choose her, but Bayley’s choice was instead SKY.
WrestleMania 40 takes place on April 6 and 7 in Philadelphia.
Also on tonight’s episode, two new signings were announced for the WWE SmackDown women’s division.
