Former AEW star Mike Santana has commented on a hilarious spot with former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2020, The Elite’s Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page and The Young Bucks along with Matt Hardy defeated The Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz in the first Stadium Stampede Match.
The bout has often been mentioned among one of the most memorable matches in AEW history.
On March 18, Fightful Wrestling posted a clip of a spot from the match where Santana delivers an Irish whip to Kenny Omega and Omega does the No Mercy video game whip animation.
In response to the video, Santana took to social media to quote tweet the clip and comment on not expecting fans to get it. He wrote:
I legit didn’t think anyone would get it. This was done solely for Kenny and I’s entertainment.
As previously reported, Mike Santana officially confirmed his departure from All Elite Wrestling following Revolution 2024.
I legit didn’t think anyone would get it. This was done solely for Kenny and I’s entertainment.
