Former NXT Star Anthony Henry Set For AEW Dynamite Debut AEW

Tony Khan has just announced another enormous match for tonight’s (March 9) episode of AEW Dynamite on Twitter.

Tweeting about the huge tag-team bout, Tony Khan wrote:

“Bonded by spilled blood + the legendary @RealKingRegal, @BryanDanielson and @JonMoxley will make their #AEW tag team debut with Regal in their corner vs. decorated tag team #TheWorkHorsemen (@RealJDDrake + @Antnyhenry) on #AEWDynamite @ 8pm ET/7pm CT on @tbsnetwork Live TONIGHT!”

Formerly known in WWE as Asher Hale, Anthony Henry will team with JD Drake to form their tag team, The WorkHorsemen. Henry was released from WWE in August as a part of their cited budget cuts.

Henry had signed to WWE in January 2021 where he went on to appear on both 205 Live and NXT. He has previously competed in AEW in a match on AEW Dark against Eddie Kingston.

Other WWE alum set to feature in the match, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley formed a tentative alliance at the end of their match at AEW Revolution with the appearance of William Regal in AEW who seemed to unite the pair.

William Regal will also be making his AEW Dynamite debut on tonight’s episode as he accompanies Danielson and Moxley to the ring. As previously reported, William Regal’s AEW roster page lists him as having a record of 0-0 versus a coach designation, perhaps suggesting that Regal may himself make a return to the ring.
