A former world champion has warned Seth Rollins about being “the best in the world.”
In 2019, Seth Rollins infamously got into a spirited back and forth on social media with top NJPW star Will Ospreay.
Both men have been mentioned in the conversation for the “best wrestler in the world” debate, but it seems like Ospreay has been listening to Rollins’ recent claims at the crown.
Speaking to Alistair McGeorge of Metro, “The Aerial Assassin” was asked about the idea of testing himself against fresh performers, including those in WWE. Warning Rollins in particular, he answered:
“Someone like Adam [‘Edge’] Copeland or Bryan Danielson comes in [to AEW], and suddenly I’m tagged in everyone’s damn tweets being like, ‘The dream match is with Ospreay’. It’s a pat on the back for me and I’m eternally grateful for it,’
‘But now it’s time for me to really gaugue and see what’s out there. So the Seth think does intrigue me quick a lot. I heard him say in a promo, his 100% is the best in the world.”
‘My 50% is the best in the world, so if you actually got me at 100% I think you’d drown in these waters mate.’
As previously reported, Will Ospreay stated that a potential move to WWE is “on the table” when his NJPW contract is up in February 2024.
