Former WWE Star Potentially Re-Signs With The Company

UPDATE – There has been another major clue that Carlito could have re-signed with WWE, which you can read about here.

Amidst a great deal of prior speculation surrounding a potential return, popular former WWE star Carlito could have in fact already re-signed with the company.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the former multiple time champion recently cancelled an independent date in Canada for Devon Nicholson’s Great North Wrestling promotion, with the reason being that he has in fact re-signed with WWE.

Meltzer said:

“He (Carlito) had an independent show on July 15 for Devon Nicholson in Canada, and he called him up to cancel and said that he has signed with WWE.

“So… perhaps he has signed with WWE.

“That’s what Devon Nicholson said today.”

Speculation surrounding a potential Carlito WWE return has been rampant since the 44-year-old appeared at the Backlash Premium Live Event from Puerto Rico on May 6.

Carlito appeared alongside other Puerto Rican favourite Savio Vega to assist Bad Bunny in his San Juan Street Fight match against Damian Priest.

Given his incredible in-ring shape and perhaps unfulfilled past potential in the company, fans have been clamouring to see more of Carlito in WWE.
