A former WWE ‘multi-time singles champion’ is set to make their TNA Wrestling debut at this weekend’s Slammiversary show.

Over the past week, there has been a number of major changes within TNA, including the departures of several key talents and backstage personnel, including former head of creative Tommy Dreamer.

It has been reported that former WWE SmackDown writer Road Dogg is being considered as Dreamer’s replacement, with him reportedly set to be in attendance at this weekend’s Slammiversary show.

Road Dogg won’t be the only former WWE name set to be at Slammiversary, as another is reportedly set to make their debut on the show.

Former ‘Multi-Time Singles Champion’ WWE Star To Debut At TNA Slammiversary

Per PWInsider, TNA will be debuting a former WWE talent at this weekend’s Slammiversary event in Boston, Massachusetts.

The word making the rounds is that the former WWE talent is a ‘multi-time singles champion’ in the company, but have not heard any more specifics on who it could be or what singles titles they held.

However, PWInsider confirms that someone new will be making their TNA debut in Boston, with them also being told that they will be wrestling on the show.

Who Could Debut At TNA Slammiversary?

TNA has brought in a number of released WWE names over the past year, with the former Giovanni Vinci, Fabian Aichner, being the latest name signed by the promotion.

While there has been a lot of speculation about the name being one of the WWE stars released from the company back in April, the 90-day non-compete clauses on those releases will not expire until July, so unless there was another contract expiration in the group not previously reported, it likely will not be any of those names.

Kay Lee Ray (Alba Fyre) is the only name from the list currently free to wrestle elsewhere due to her departure being a contract expiration, but she only reigned one time as the NXT UK Women’s Champion in her only singles title run in the company, so she would not fit the criteria.

However, there are still many other notable former WWE names on the market right now, including former world champions such as Jinder Mahal (Raj Dhesi) and Braun Strowman, as well as names like Baron Corbin (Bishop Dyer) making for good additions to the roster.
