Former WWE Star Returns At WWE Crown Jewel 2023 WWE

A former WWE star has officially returned to the company, making an appearance during a championship match at WWE Crown Jewel 2023.

In the closing stages of the WWE Women’s Championship match between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair, it seemed as if the challenger Belair may have been set to reclaim her title yet again.

Managing to largely fend off interference successfully from Damage CTRL’s Bayley, Belair seemed like she may have had the match won, however it was not to be, as appearing out of the crowd was former NXT Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane.

In the lead up to Crown Jewel it was reported that Sane had been added to WWE’s internal roster listing, with talk that her comeback to TV may have taken place at Crown Jewel in Riyadh.

Which is exactly what ended up happening, with Kairi Sane attacking Belair, driving her into the ring, post and setting her up for IYO SKY to deliver the Over-The-Moon-sault to retain her title.

After the bell Sane would add insult to injury by delivering her patented flying elbow drop from the top rope to Belair before raising SKY’s hand in victory.

Looking on was a perplexed Bayley, who seemingly had no idea that Sane was going to show up.

Commentary played up that in her last WWE TV appearance until now, Kairi Sane was attacked by Bayley back in 2020.

We will undoubtedly get follow up to this storyline on SmackDown on November 10, but stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for any updates on Sane’s WWE re-signing.
