It has been several weeks since Andrade was released by WWE on March 21. Since then, he has continued to tease a return to the ring.
That has continued into today as he posted a video on Twitter teasing his return as La Sombra. The tweet was also accompanied by a caption that said “I’m back and it’s time to remember who I was and travel the world to achieve my goals.” Here is the tweet:
I'm back and it's time to remember who I was and travel the world to achieve my goals.
Estoy de regreso y es momento de recordar quien yo era y viajar por el mundo para obtener mis metas. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼 pic.twitter.com/3THn97XIrj— “EL IDOLO” ANDRADE (@AndradeElIdolo) April 12, 2021
WWE star Murphy also posted a photo with Andrade on Twitter earlier today. You can read more about that here.
Prior to his release, Andrade had spent months not appearing on television for WWE. He was reportedly miserable having to sit in catering each week, leading to him asking for his release.
It remains unclear where exactly he will appear next. It was reported that he was contacted about wrestling over WrestleMania weekend, however, that did not end up happening. Until the pandemic is over it appears that Andrade’s options will mostly be limited to promotions in the United States.
