Former WWE Star To Return At NXT TakeOver: War Games?

Tonight, NXT will be putting on one of the most exciting pay-per-views in recent memory, NXT TakeOver: War Games III.

The show is expected to be headlined by a War Games match, with Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and a mystery partner taking on The Undisputed Era.

Many people have speculated that the mystery partner could be a member of the main roster making a one-off appearance in NXT.

Some of the rumoured names include AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens, all of whom have had issues with Undisputed Era during NXT invasions of Raw and Smackdown in recent weeks.

Despite this, some believe that the mystery partner will be a former Intercontinental Champion returning to the company.

It was reported last month that John Morrison had re-signed with WWE after leaving Impact Wrestling this Summer.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has speculated that WWE could be saving the Morrison return for an appearance tonight as the final member of Tommaso Ciampa’s team at NXT TakeOver: War Games III.

Triple H said that one of the members of Team NXT at Survivor Series will be a huge surprise. Many speculated that after returning at TakeOver the night before, Morrison could go on to join NXT’s team for the big show.
