‘Friends’ Of Chad Gable Reportedly Want Him To Join AEW

Friends of Raw star Chad Gable have expressed interest in the former WWE Tag Team Champion joining AEW, as per Dave Meltzer.

Discussing the WWE Draft on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said:

“Chad’s always awesome. He’s always awesome. A lot of people – I know a lot of his friends want him to go to AEW and I don’t know what the contract situation is for him but he’s been so misused or buried or whatever that it’s almost like you bring him – but I think he would be absolutely phenomenal in AEW. He’s phenomenal now.”

Gable was drafted to Raw as part of his Alpha Academy team with Otis on Talking Smack. His last televised match was against Cesaro on the August 27 edition of SmackDown.

Many fans have speculated that Kevin Owens will sign with AEW after his WWE contract expires in January 2022. WWE reportedly doesn’t expect Owens to re-sign with the company once his current deal ends.

Owens recently reacted to tweets discussing rumors that he’s unhappy with WWE.
