A number of wrestlers have found their own way of paying respects to Brodie Lee after his tragic passing last week. Now, AEW tag team FTR has announced they are renaming their finisher after him.
Dax Harwood took to Twitter today to announce that they have renamed The Goodnight Express to “Big Rig”. Big Rig was Brodie’s nickname on the independent scene prior to signing with WWE in 2012. Here is the tweet:

“After speaking with Amanda, and getting her blessing, we have decided to change the name of The Goodnight Express to ‘Big Rig’. This is our way of keeping a bit of his legacy alive in professional wrestling. We love you, Brodie. Can’t wait to see you again.”
WWE fans will also recognize The Goodnight Express as their WWE finisher, the Shatter Machine.
The only time FTR competed against Brodie Lee was the massive 12-man tag team match on the July 30, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite. The match pit the Dark Order against The Elite and FTR with the Dark Order coming out on top.
AEW produced a Celebration of Life for Brodie Lee on last week’s episode of Dynamite.
