TBS Champion Kris Statlander has said that she’s ready for Mercedes Mone, amid speculation about Mone potentially joining AEW.
Following speculation that the former ‘Sasha Banks’ could appear for AEW, the ex-WWE star was shown in the crowd at the August 27 All In London show.
This has fuelled rumors that Mone is AEW-bound.
During the All Out post-show media scrum, Statlander noted that the AEW’s women’s division is prepared for the challenge.
Noting that she’d accept Mone’s challenge if she wanted a TBS Title match, Statlander said:
“I think the (AEW) women’s locker room is always ready for a challenge.
“We’re willing to accept anybody that wants to step our way and put us to the test. And as a champion, I know that there’s always a target on my back, and if she wants to step up to me, I’m ready for her.
“Anytime, anywhere. That’s what I want; that’s what I do.”
Statlander notably defended her gold against The Outcasts’ Ruby Soho at All Out 2023.
Mone is currently recovering from an injury, after breaking her ankle in a match with Willow Nightingale at NJPW STRONG Resurgence in May.
Tony Khan previously provided an update on Mone’s potential AEW debut, which you can read more about right here.
