GUNTHER Praises Potential WWE Signing As ‘One Of The Best In The World’

Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER has commented on speculation about Kazuchika Okada potentially joining WWE.

With Okada leaving NJPW at the end of January, there has been heavy speculation about the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion’s next move.

There have been plenty of indicators that Okada could choose to sign with WWE, with Okada reportedly interested in competing at WrestleMania, and WWE previously interested in signing the Rainmaker.

Speaking with Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, GUNTHER stated that he believes Okada is one of the best wrestlers in the world.

Believing that WWE has great competition for Okada, GUNTHER said:

“I think Okada is fantastic, I always love Japanese wrestling.

“When I grew up in professional wrestling, understanding everything, I always enjoyed Japanese wrestling the most. I was more of an All Japan guy than a New Japan guy, to be honest.

“But yeah, he’s one of the best in the world, and if he joins WWE, he’s very welcome to, and I think he finds great competition here.”

GUNTHER would certainly be a tough foe for the Japanese star, with the Ring General recently passing 600 days as Intercontinental Champion.
