Hiromu Takahashi Announces He’s Medically Cleared To Compete

Popular NJPW star Hiromu Takahashi has taken to social media to reveal that he has been medically cleared to return to action.

During the Castle Attack tour in February, it was announced that Takahashi had suffered a torn pectoral, which was expected to keep him out of action for 6 months.

5 months later, Takahashi has revealed that he is ready to return. Promising to go crazy again, Takahashi tweeted:

Translation: “(good news) The doctor gave me permission to return! Let’s go crazy again.”

NJPW Global retweeted Takahashi’s post, captioning the tweet:

“(eye emoji) Somebody is cleared… (eye emoji)”

It is currently unknown when Takahashi will wrestle his return match. His most recent bout saw him team with Shingo Takagi to face Kota Ibushi and Tomoaki Honma on February 19.

Kota Ibushi has now been diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. He was originally scheduled to challenge Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Grand Slam on July 25.

A final decision surrounding Ibushi’s participation in the match has yet to be made.
