Face of the Revolution indeed! Tonight’s pay-per-view saw a huge face turn for Wardlow in a major angle involving CM Punk and MJF.
After winning the Face of the Revolution ladder match earlier in the night, Mr. Mayhem himself, Wardlow reappeared during the MJF versus CM Punk dog collar match to make quite an impact on the outcome.
When MJF could not seal the deal against Punk even after bringing out the bag of thumbtacks, he began calling for Wardlow who obliged by coming to the ring. Clearly requesting the Dynamite Diamond ring to use against Punk, Wardlow informed MJF with a shrug that he couldn’t find it.
The distraction left MJF vulnerable to Punk, Punk was able to plant MJF in the tacks and made eye contact with Wardlow. Wardlow revealed he had suddenly ‘found’ the Dynamite Diamond ring, with an “oops” he left it in the ring for Punk and walked back up the ramp, leaving MJF to get pummeled in the ring.
CM Punk beat MJF and celebrated after the match by swinging the dog collar wildly over his head.
