Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz CONFIRMED For WWE SummerSlam

After years of anticipation, it’s finally here, The Miz vs Daniel Bryan is confirmed for SummerSlam.

This rivalry dates back to 2010, in the first season of the then game show NXT, when The Miz was Daniel Bryan’s ‘pro’, which ended with Daniel overcoming Miz to win the United States Championship.

The feud reignited on Talking Smack two years ago, where Miz unloaded on Daniel Bryan after Bryan called him a coward.

The pot has been stirring ever since Daniel’s in-ring return back in early 2018. Fans of WWE were sure this match would happen, the only question was when. With Bryan’s contract expiring on September 1st and his future unclear, WWE needed to act fast to ensure the match took place.

After weeks of back-and-forth on SmackDown Live, Twitter, and television, the two will finally go head-to-head at WWE SummerSlam, on August 19th. The same night the match was announced, The Miz was attacked by Daniel Bryan on the set of Miz & Mrs after cutting a impassioned promo on ‘The Goat Faced Killer’ of SmackDown Live.
