We could have some star-studded WWE shows this summer, as a huge star and WWE Hall of Famer is being advertised for the August 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Edge is being featured on the local advertising for the SmackDown after SummerSlam in August. The show is slated to take place at the Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arizona.
It certainly makes sense to hear that WWE is promoting Edge for the show in August, as reports have suggested that Edge is going to be returning to the company, potentially as early as next month, to set up a feud for SummerSlam.
Jon Alba reported last week that Edge is slated to work SummerSlam on the SmackDown side as a babyface, presumably meaning he’ll be working a match with one of the blue brand’s top heels.
It seems like WWE could be welcoming back a lot of top stars over the next few weeks and months, as Bray Wyatt, John Cena and Becky Lynch have also all been rumoured to be making returns later this year.
